Con Sketch: Gunbuster Trabi

Commissioned by the same chap who requested "Champ de Mars". This time we've got Jung Freud and Noriko Takaya from Gunbuster eyeing Jung's brand-new Trabant.

For those of you who don't get the joke, the Trabant is an old East German car from the Warsaw Pact days. It was notorious for the long waiting lists one had to wait on in order to get one. This would sometimes take years. Anyway, if you've seen Gunbuster, you'll know the heroines travel to edge of the solar system (and outside of it) at near-light speeds, and since the rules of relativity come into play in the series, they come back much later than they left. Thus, Jung is delighted to find that while she was off hurdling through space at relativistic speeds, her name was still on the list for her Trabi. So, it was ready for her when she came home. Voila!

Okay, it's pretty geeky, but I found it to be pretty funny.
