Digital Art / Mixed Media / Macabre & Horror

Artwork for the upcoming game, "Sanitarium" published by Asmadi Games.

Process started with a pencil sketch, then scanned into Photoshop. Using a couple of Levels adjustment layers, I tweaked the paper background back to 50% and erased parts of the layers to create a tonal painting effect. Overlayed a monotone color layer and finished off with several photo textures taken myself from various decaying household items. The creepy wall is from the deteriorating layers of nursery wallpaper I found while renovating my guest room. Note the bunny and the sheep.

I'm still experimenting with digital shading. Hopefully I won't be too far behind you in skill in that aspect with enough practice. ^.^ It's a nice switch up from the art I normally see from you. I find myself liking both types equally.

At first glance I thought it was a picture of Kate from when she had that "testing" done. XD

Nice picture though. I level the dirty look it has; it really helps sell it as a miserable place to be.
